Mummy: Baby, are you happy today? Did you enjoy yourself at Ipoh? Happy?

Jayden: Happy! Happy!

Mummy: Happy?

Jayden: Happy!

Dirty Cat

You love the freedom of eating on your own, even though you know you will end up like a dirty cat, with all the cream on your hand and face, and crumbs all over your shirt and pants.

Mummy will just let you enjoy your happy eating moment although mummy has to clean up and wash all your dirty clothes with extra detergent.

What is the big deal of being a dirty cat afterall? :p

Dear Jayden,

When mummy and daddy get old and can't eat properly, please remember that it's not how we want to be, but because we are getting old and don't have the strength to hold our cutlery properly anymore. Please don't yell and scream at mummy & daddy, because we dirty your floor. We wish to clean up for you, but just that we no longer have the flexibility to bend down and pick up the leftover on the floor....

Please remember that you once were a dirty cat when you were young and mummy & daddy were happily enjoying seeing you eating clumsily, although mummy & daddy gotta clean up your mess after each feeding time.

So please love us like how we love you, baby.

Umbrella

On our way home from nanny's house today..

Conversation took place in the car.

Mummy: "Baby, it's raining outside. See all the people taking umbrella oh. Umbrella...."

Mummy: " Umbrella....."

Jayden: " Umbrella!"

Both hubby and I were so surprised to hear that Jayden knows another new word today.

Good job, my baby!

Baby

Whenever he sees babies/ kids, he will point at them and say,: " baby."
It seems quite funny calling the other older kids as babies, as if Jayden has really gown up.

Everytime when I ask him,:" baby, where is my baby ah?"

Jayden will look at me and point at himself.

Yes, you are right, baby. You will always be mummy's little baby eventhough you have grown up next time.

Hello

This morning we send our car to the workshop for service. While you were waiting there, u suddenly waved at the worker and said," hello" repeatedly.

A new word to add onto your vocabulary skill in a bring sunny Saturday morning. Well done, Jayden!

Part Time Maid

You love to help out when kakak is cleaning the house.

You will inspect every corner that Kakak has cleaned, and sometimes will even stand in front with both hand put at the back and supervise her.

Mummy wonders if you will help mummy with house chores when u grow up next time! Finger cross*~*

蛋挞王子

Jayden is eyeing on the egg tarts!

Jayden is crazy over egg tarts and he can wallop da whole egg tart on his own, sometimes will request for more.

Time to tackle the egg tarts. Yummy!!!

He must have inherited my sweet tooth, hahaha......

Satisfied with his favourite food.

So yummilicious until there were crumbs all over the mouth and nose!

Mummy

As usual, mummy and daddy will fetch you from nanny's home after work. Daddy will be in charge to carry you into the car while mummy will carry your baby bag.

On the way to the car, you suddenly called,:" Mummy..."

Daddy quickly told mummy that you just said a new word- Mummy. We were very excited and asked you to repeat what you have just said, but you didn't want to 'entertain' us instead.

Now mummy gotta wait til you are in good mood again to hear you calling MUMMY!  :(

Grown Up

You were asleep in the master bedroom while mummy and daddy were taking shower and packing up the Christmas trees respectively..

U surprised daddy when u got up from your bed ( without your usual crying/ fussing sound) and walked to the living hall quietly without our help. U have grown up so much, my baby.

U were tossing around on the bed when mummy and daddy were almost dozing off when we suddenly heard a big crash '' bom", then followed by your cry. Guess what! You fell down from the bed. Mummy was so worry that you could hurt yourself( our bed is very high) and quickly ran over to hug you.

You cried for awhile only and then turned into a sleeping prince in mummy's arms within few minutes.

Oh, my baby! You have grown up so much. And too fast that mummy still wish you are a small baby like yesterday. Mummy miss all your baby moments.....

Sick Baby

Jayden is down with fever and sorethroat again.

As usual, he will stick to me like a glue( this will be more obvious when he's unwell) and demand to be carried. He fuss easily and lost his appetite( but he's still maintaining his heavy 12.4kg) body weight. Whenever I try to put him down or leave him for 1 second, he will open his arms towards me and start crying, wanting to be carried again.

As much as I cherish the close bonding with him, my back is aching badly. And my terrible carpal tunnel syndrome arms are back in action.

Nevertheless, I still enjoy every single bit spending quality time with him and I feel sad when he's unwell.

Today you asked me to open the fridge for you and you pointed at the apple and said:" apple".

My parents in law are in town this weekend and will be staying with us for the next few days. This is the first trip they have made after soooo long. The last time they were here was here when I just delivered Jayden. Jayden is very excited with their arrival and keep calling po po( grandma) and gung gung( grandpa) when they are around. We are just so happy that they are here, and it feels so warmth to be with close family members.oh..... It makes me miss my mum and dad more now...

Duck Duck Mouth

Dear Jayden, daddy said your mouth look like ducky when you sleep like this in the car today.

Daddy's Hat

You have discovered the fun of wearing daddy's hat. Whenever daddy open the wardrobe, you will jump in and grab your favourite hat, then happily wear it and walking aroun the house, showing off your new look.

Talking

At the age of 16 months, Jayden has quite a huge vocabulary knowledge considering his young age. Some of the words he has spoken includes:-

- ballon
- ballon burst
- bird bird
- wow wow (dog)
- maw maw (cat)

- balloon 爆了 (balloon burst)
- 爸爸来了 (daddy has arrived)
- 没有了(no more)
- 抱抱 (hug)
- banana/ nana
- ko ko (brother)
- 不要 (don't want)
- bye bye
- book book
- baby tv (although he can't really pronounce it well)
- turtle
- cheh!
- kai kai(shopping)

I wonder what will you talk next time when you start to communicate like a big boy.

Daddy will always ask mummy...
Daddy: when will luncheon meat start to talk ya?
Mummy: he's already talking now lor.
Daddy: I mean really talk lah. I wanna share 心事 with him lah.

Guess daddy is looking forward to have big boys talk with you when you grow up next time.

Mom-mom (Food)

Feeding Jayden with main meal(especially porridge)can be very challenging at times and is always testing my patients. Sometimes, he will really drive me up my nerve when he refuse to eat, running around the house trying to avoid me.

One day, when I was feeding him...
Mummy: Baby, eat your mom-mom(food).
Jayden: (avoiding looking at me, turning here and there)
Mummy: Baby, faster eat your mom-mom.
Jayden: (still refuse to eat)
Mummy: Baby, faster. Mom-mom....faster eat your mom-mom please.

And the feeding war continued with me pleasing him to eat his food while he's trying to avoid me.

Mummy: Baby, faster lah, eat your mom-mom please.......

Then Jayden looked and me and said: Mom-mom-mom-mom-mom-mom.......

He was mumbling and complaining about me, I must have annoyed him with the repeated word ''mom-mom(food)''.

Both hubby and I couldn't stop laughing out loud.....Hahaha....

Photo Taking

Jayden may be only just a 16 months old baby, but he has started showing the love of self take portrait. This is the first time he tried taking photos on his own using my Iphone. Not bad huh, for a first timer without my help at all, hahaha...
